Off road near london

Guys,
I am mad keen to have a crack at off roading, I've bought a nail of an old klr that I frankly dont mind throwing around a bit and falling off. I think I'd rather have six hundered cc slap me around than twelve. Trouble is living close to Waterloo London I aint got a clue where to take it to start learning. I'm plod so wandering around the wrong places could be bad for the state of my pension. Any suggestions please? Any one who has the patience of a saint fancy giving me some tips, happy to spring breakfast and lunch for you (or cash with-in reason if you prefer).
