Hi

I finally got round to registering today having been reading the forum for a while now. I stay just outside Edinburgh and have only had my bike licence for a year and a bit. I have a 650 V-Strom (sorry) and have tried to be on it as much as I can. Here are a few of photos to prove I do ride it, honest.

I've done a search (but had no joy) so sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere. :hide

Is there anywhere in Scotland/N. England that offers off road training along the lines of the BMW courses? I've seen www.funinthemud.co.uk but haven't spoken to them yet and it's obviously leaning more towards the motocross side of things rather than general riding.

Cheers

Gav

Hi Gav, welcome to UKGSer and the SS.

Where was the pic taken with the snow capped background?

Howday

Fun in the mud is a motorcross school for beginners not much use for learning big bike off roading.
Great day out though :thumb2

Nothing up here atall on the lesson side of it :(

That photo was on the road over the top of Ben Lawyers (Loch Tay). Had a nice run that day although it was a bit cold ;)

Well, if anyone does hear of any courses in Scotland - I'd be very interested.

Welcome, friend! I'm pretty new here myself.

Third picture down: Looks suspiciously like Brough harbour in Caithness (near Dunnett Head)..am I right?

Yep! :clap Quality little spot, couldn't see it from the road unless you stood right at the edge

Cheers to everyone. As long as the weather isn't horrendous I might pop up to Glen Lyon, would be good to get a decent length run.
