I need some advice please.

I have been doing green landing for about a year but last April I had quite a serious accident that has caused me to loose my confidence off road.

Being a prat I went way beyond my capabilities and ended up crashing into a tree at approx 40 mph.

I got knocked out and when I awoke my arms were paralysed. I was wedged on the bike so it was upright and I just ended up sitting there for quite a while. Eventually the ability to move my arms returned so I knew I was ok.

Anyway got back on the bike and went home and then later on up the hospital 'cos I had shooting pains all up my arms.

Got a right bollocking from the hospital.

Don't mind falling off but want to enjoy riding offload.

Anyways all ok now but I need some tuition to get my confidence back so any recommendations preferably in the south.

Thanks

Karl

Wow, sorry to hear about your off (or on:D). From personal experience, I can thoroughly recommend the BMW course.:thumb It's around £450 for the two days, but you'll do that in damage to their bikes.:D:beerjug:

Agreed, the BMW course is a great start. There are others - the Patsy Quick course also gets good recommendations.

Even now, I would hesitate to go out on my own.

Did a day with Patsy Quick ( www.adventureridingacademy.com ) last year. They have access to a couple of large fields and some private woodland, where i managed to bend a nice shiny new KTM.:blast Bloody tiring day as i hadn't done it before but was well worth it:thumb2 (Top notch lunch as well)

Thanks for the advice.

The course with Patsy Quick looks quite good and is not far from me anyway - so will definately give that a go.

Greg - I was actually booked on the trip with you at the beginning of October but this caused me to pull out - but maybe some other time.

if you want one 2 one training then craig and tamsin are based just outside merthyr tydfil and have a wide selection of bikes you can use and a selection of places they can take you, they train everyone from kids upwards of all abilities

Crescent Suzuki in Verwood used to have a group that ran off road days out through Hant & Wilts. No idea whether they do anymore or whether there's any instruction but could be worth a call as they're down the road from you.
