off-road tyre pressure. Help!

Hello,

I'm going to participate in an off-road event next weekend here in Portugal. It's a 100Km ride mostly gravel. Does anyone know what is the advisable tyre pressure to go off-road in a R1150GS with Tourance tyres. I was told to deinflate a bit both tyres, but wat is a bit?

I'd leave them as per road pressures. It's only when the going gets soft that you'll need to let them down. Less chance of damaging the rims with the higher pressures. I've riden in Spain off road with the standard pressures with no adverse effects.
