Have a great trip, I was there doing the Wild Atlantic way last week,1500 miles round trip from London. Stopped at Mamms Cross.
Achill point is a must, the beach is fab.
Cong is pretty and you'll become very familiar with the 50's John Wayne film - The silent man!!

Just to help get you ready. Zoom in to see the wild horses on the beach
The Smithwicks is much better than Guinness. You'll have a great time. :beerjug:

Came back from the WAW a couple of weeks ago! Fantastic scenery and lovely people!
So many spectacular bits of coastline to visit but I just loved Malin Head as it brought back fond memories of diving some of the wrecks off that bit of coastline!

You'll have a great time :beerjug: :aidan

I loved the Ring of Kerry and the area around Westport in April, but we had a miserable time in Donegal with near freezing temperatures, rain, hail and strong winds

Gonna be over there myself the last week of July with the trouble and strife.

Hi Rob, as I've got used to my Rallye I've found the road mode a little too soft & swaying on undulating roads, u may want to try the enduro mode now & again..
enjoy your Ireland ride tho..:beerjug:

Your in for a treat, the week is promised great, welcome to our wonderful country, enjoy and stay safe.

Ireland is surrounded by sea. Be sure to protect your bike from the ravages of salt air!

Well we are back from a simply epic week in Ireland the weather for Monday and Tuesday was Very warm then it got a bit cooler Wednesday and Thursday Friday was on and off with showers
Firstly Id like to say Im under no affiliation with the tour company which was Wild Irish Motorcycle tours, but must give credit where its due, the organisation was simply perfect, everything was in place and all went like clock work, Paul the owner is one of Lifes nice guys, nothing was too much trouble, he knows all the best places and is a super knowledgeable guy, he is a true biker and has a massive passion for what he does, all the routes take in the very best roads and scenery places to stop for lunch and a coffee,
Paul does both guided and self guided tours and sends you the routes to print or load onto your sat nav, sorts all the hotels etc and basically takes all the grief out of it leaving you to enjoy the tour

we met up with a group of 9 guys on a self guided tour on Wednesday evening at a beautiful sea view hotel who said the routes were the best they had ever had

we left Ballina at 9am Friday and stopped for a lovely lunch on the way back to the Ferry, got off the ferry to torrential rain at 18:40 and stayed in it all the way home so bad that at some points we were down to 40 mph, we eventually got home at 02:50 this morning horrendous rain but it didnt detract from the pleasure of the tour

The Rallye performed impeccably it did exactly what I asked of it and never complained at all, and got home with 3K on the clock !!

All in all a great trip, and a big thanks to Paul from Wild Irish Motorcycle tours who made it so easy, if anyone's thinking of an Ireland tour give this guy a try you really wont be disappointed

Will try to load some Pictures as I could not sus how to do it on the phone when on route

Rob
