He has a pdf of the R1250GS manual available for download for a reasonable sum, there is information in that abount removing the Shift Assist, but is you need a good searchable pdf, you can do a lot worse than that

Do you mean instructions for removing/installing shift assistant like this?? It even has pretty pictures for those of us that struggle with big words!!

At just under 1300 pages you might want to think twice before hitting the print button but the manual is worth every penny of my hard earnt £5!
