Bit of a muddle during a re-assemble of the forks (92 R100 GS)

Changed the fork seals today in between sorting out work for tomorrow and going up and down in to the loft to sort ball valve and an overflow on main tank. Fucking hay fever crippling me - cant breath, cant see and cant stop fucking sneezing.

Someone please inform me - have i done the correct thing by putting the damper with the extra holed cap at its base in to the left hand fork leg.

This is the thin piece of the damper which the alan head bolt screws in to from the base and holds it together

Cant read the Manual properly at the minute and it dont make much sense anyway :blast HELP.

Phil,

The damper rod with the most bits at the bottom goes in the right leg.

The right-hand damper has seven parts to the valve, the left-hand only has four.

Hope that helps (Page 7.12 of the Haynes manual) :thumb.

Bob.
