Oh no, Lights again!! headlight as opposed to pairs of spots

How come everyone mounts lights in pairs? Has anyone tried sticking a rectangular headlight under the beak, the sort of thing that is found in the M&P catalogue. Just thought it might be better that's all. Obviously something that is not too big.
 
Where, exactly? It would probably have to be lowish, to avoid the droop (Oo-err) of the beak casting a shadow. This might present clearance problems when the front suspension is compressed.

I seem to remember someone mounting a single small PIAA lamp on the fork brace, though...

You could mount a fog on the nearside to light up the edge of the road and a driving/spot on the off side to be able to see where you are going.

But 1 lamp under the beak as mike said would suffer from beak droop and light up only a few feet infront of the bike (even worse with an ADV due to the beak guard thingy). :eek:
