Ok,
I am the proud owner of a new zumo 660, which seems quite swish compared to my old 2610......erm, until I try to copy across routes from my pc:blast

here's the thing,
pc has cne nt 2011`.1
zumo has cn e nt 2011.3 3d and cne nt 2011.32
I have installed a sandisk 8gb miniscule memory card, which i can see via the pc with the zumo plugged into it, but even tho i copy/paste routes across to the card, the zumo doesn't seem to "see" them and so I cannot "import" ...to the zumo main memory.

also when I import a few routes via mapsource only one route actually appears (this route can be accessed via
my data
import data
routes
when the zumo happily recalculates it ( I have no problem with it doing this yet, until I ride one of the routes and see how much it has changed it!))

I read wappings excellent response to another import route query, but my issue seems a few steps "earlier in the progression of numptiness...

so, why can I not see a list of routes on the sd card on the zumo screen, and why does the sumo only show 1 route when I imported several via mapsource?

it would be nice to see a list of routes on sd card and also on zumo showing, is this too much to expect, or have I missed something (would not surprise me!)
please be gentle;)
thanks

well, I kept reading and seem to have found a way thru..

converting gdb files into gpx files seems to allow the zumo to "see" the route files, and I can now copy and paste them into the sd card, and or the zumo gpx folder,, and then the zumo can access them and do its thang with them:thumb2

only thing is, I have hundreds of routes, including lots from Wapping, saved as gdb......and the conversion process looks a little "labour intensive!

ah well, as long as its raining I may as well be doing this as anything else:augie

Delighted that my routes are keeping you out of mischief and out of the rain.

Just out of vague interest, why do you want to put 10,000's of miles of assorted routes onto a card?

Surely it's easier just to keep them on your PC and download just the ones you need for a particular trip?

yes the routes are excellent basis for putting trips together, thankjs for all the work
but, to paraphrase gene hunt
"you say "mischief" like its a bad thing":D

not actually intending to put all of them onto the card, but converting them to .gpx so as and when I want them they are ready to go.....thus also satisfying my OCD ...............and also a chance to play with the new toy:thumb2
