Morning all,

can anyone better £180 incl. vat for an authorised Ohlins workshop to service a front Ohlins Shock..?

I could have sworn I saw Timolgra write something about it costing roughly £75 per shock...?..:nenau

Any suggestions would be most welcome - thanks :thumb2

Well it seems to vary considerably depending on what needs servicing.

I took my rear Ohlins to Kais for a service after a 3 month trip around Mongolia etc. It was new before the trip and needed the bottom spaces replacing after I'd hacksawed them off after breaking the bottom bolt, the oil was wrecked and had new seals etc.

It cost £200!!!! but it'd had a very hard time, probably £100/120 is more realistic.

The shock is like new again now btw:thumb

shock servicing

ok will call Kais - thanks guys

the shock that needs servicing has not seen any tough off-road action and just need a standard serivce - I am getting the spring replaced (£60) cos its rusted a little but the rest of it is in good working order

Call ABE in greenwich - Service shocks is what they do - service on an ohlins is about £100.

I think MCT charge around the £80-£90 mark and know their stuff:thumb2

MH Did a fork rework for me on a Thundercat for track days - very good.

Can't see a shock service being too difficult for them :thumb2

shock servicing

thanks for all the replies guys,

a BMW franchise owner (of the decent variety) told me that FTR are very good and will do a 1 week turnaround shock service for about £75

happy days :thumb2

I have to say the Ohlins have made my 1150GSA even more fun to ride - f***ing brilliant :bounce1

As you are in Surrey try ringing Steve Jordan Motorcycles in leatherhead as Steve is an Ohlins trained engineer and does a lot of work on race kit all over the place :thumb2
