Folks i'm about to drop the oil and change the oil and filter on my 03 DRZ 400. I've recently found out there are 2 areas to drain the oil from 1. The main frame bit and 2. the engine drain bolt part.
SFQ time but if you just do engine drain wont this do them both? Also what size washers do you need for the 2 plugs

Cheers ( forgive my ignorance i'm only just getting to grips with mechanical stuff)

I cant remember what size was on mine a 10mm and 12mm washers i think , as for the oil change once you have warmed the bike up t , take them both out , one at a time to catch the oil easier . once most has drained out take the filter out , make sure you get the old o ring out what sticks at the back sometimes , then assemble fill up with oil and check

There are two plugs to drop. On the 03 you might want to drop the oil strainer thats in the front plug.

Sorry I can't help with sizes at the moment as I don't have access to my workshop just now.

However this might help.

Also what i did was buy the original washers from Suzuki at about £1.70 each then took them to my local factors and bought a handfull at 30p each.
