Ebay from a known shop e.g. Sycamore, HD in Wolverhampton, has an Ebay shop selling genuine HD parts and oil

You could get pattern parts from the likes of M&P or Demon Tweeks on Ebay. I buy chains and brake pads from these rather than genuine parts at twice the price.

I used to use Westway for my "stock" oil. For those without warranties or who weren't impressed by marketing. Its very good value and has all the ratings and certificates of a much more expensive products.
All the Westway oils meet or exceeds even the most stringent API and MA ratings. I know bikes that have run on nothing but Westway for many years. Even in extreme racing. It's a UK company that doesn't waste money on advertising , sponsorship or red dyes.
It's crazy what some people will pay for a posh bottle.
I’ve used them for years . I buy all my motorcycle fluids from them . They are always the most competitive in price and quality .
I don’t have any connection to them

it's widely available in the UK for large twins and was what BMW eventually specified for the R1150GS I owned to reduce oil consumption

I bought bulk 20Ltr drums of 20W50 fully synth from Westway when I had my air/oil cooled Hexhead GSA, been using them for years.
A Harley probably needs the same stuff.
It was about £85 a drum delivered and would do five services (30,000 miles worth). Cheaper than faffing about with smaller drums. Its JASO MA2 spec so suitable for use with wet clutches. This may be of concern in a Harley if it has a wet clutch as some of the oils quoted above in others posts are not MA2 specific and could contaminate the clutch friction material. In an older BMW with a dry clutch however its not a concern.

It’s not easy to find off the shelf ( I think I used Euro Car Parts last time as they had a special deal on that matched Opi).
Westway make a 60 weight..
Commonly used in Motoguzzi and KTM.
Using a heavier oil than spec doesn't come without it's disadvantages.
Even though it might coat engine parts for longer, it can also be too thick for some micro oil jets that cams and crank shells depend on.
It also saps power. Adding unnecessary friction to the motor. Stiring treacle instead of milk is a good analogy.
Your oil filter may be bypassing oil too. Too high viscosity causes high pressure. The oil filler will simply open it's bypass valve and then you're not filtering oil until it's really hot.
