Oil level Glass / Oil Seal Leak.

I have noticed the last 2 days that I have a small oil leak at the lower edge on the oil seal for the observation glass to check engine oil level.

Has anyone had this before ??

Can the seal be easily replaced ?

Its under warranty so no major issus as far as I am concerned.

I haven't heard of this before, but if it's under warranty I'd drop it in and get them to do it. Might be an easy job, or might be a bigger one.

Its not unusual ...........Search technical and Steptoe did any idiot proof guide on how to swap the glass out, dead simple. Seems it can effect any of the boxer engines.

One fell out on me in a dealership. I now carry a spare so will never ever need to replace it ever again. I think it cost a few pounds. The oil cost more than the part I recall.

Just spoken with Pidcocks and they were suprised that it should start to fail on a newish bike but said to bring it over and they will do it there and then, confirmed only a simple job but asked me to check it the 'glass' appeared to be warped,
