Oil Level

Changed the oil and filter on my 02 1150 last, added 3.75 litres of oil as per clymer and yet the oil does not appear in the window even before start-up.
And yes before any of you smart arses asks the sump plug was in
It's on it's centre stand in the garage which, without getting the theodolite out, seems pretty level.
Is this normal

Did you allow for the filer if you changed it (don't have the volumes to hand)?

they all do it,
ride it til warm,then check it again using the sidestand/centrestand method..do a search theres loads about it.
