First outing on my r65 since late summer today. I'm getting the oil pressure warning light come on. Not straight away but after I've been down the road a minute or two. Oil level is on max. Anyone else had this? Was running perfectly before winter and I have let it run a few times in between.

Oil

I would dump the oil and filter
Cheapest option first
If it doesn't cure you need a gauge to test oil pressure
Good luck:beerjug:

Silly question but it caught me out before. Is it definitely the oil light and not the gen light thats coming on? No offense intended if you are far too experienced to be caught out with something so simple ;)

New switch fitted and all is well. The old one looked as old as the bike....1979. Motorworks guys said he has sold a few this week, seems to be something that can happen after a winter lay up. I love my r65, it ticks over like nothing on this earth. I have a strong mechanical appreciation and anyone similar must have an air cooled boxer engine in their life. If we have a summer, I'll take her to the west coast of Scotland for a few days.

Oil light R80ST

if it is not the Switch ( Replaced with new one ) oil filter replaced and new oil , engine sounds quiet how do i go about checking oil pressure :rob

Thanks
