I have found a company who will supply a portable battery powered oil testing machine. Price is aprox £300 it will test the used oil compared to a fresh sample and can show water, partical and wear of the oil. They use them to examine oil from manufacturing machines including single bearings costing up to €40,000. The test takes minutes.
