Exhaust question:

If it's to be a full Remus system, which one is best and allows the L/H pannier to remain on?

Is it an option to use the OE pipe and simply replace the Cat with a Y piece...if so, whose?

Ben,

You can keep the stock end can with a 'Y' piece, go for a sebring, (same as Remus but cheaper)

Most after market Cans let you keep the left pannier, even my Blue Flame don't cause a problem.

Am I right in saying that the cat incorporates a silencer and therefore some noise will be liberated by using the Sebring Y piece instead?

What then of MOTs..will it fail on emmission and DB grounds?

Ben,

Bikes don't need a Cat by Law yet. It does make things louder and you lose a hell of a lot of weight too.

Which can,what pipe?

Remus now have the REVOLUTION on the go which has a removable/replaceable rear baffle. Got quoted £377 including pp and vat for the whole lot Y pipe and all. MCN last Weds.

No mods needed I was reliably informed.

That is CHEAP........£430 was the lowest at sheepest for the lot.
Where is that quote from and are you sure it is not for the can only.?

I've got a Laser can fitted to mine, along with the chip. Doesn't make any difference to the fitting of panniers etc, but makes the bike sound and go much much better. The quality of the finish isn't superb, but it's been on there for nearly 4 years now, and still looks alright when you Solvol it up...Dunno what they'd last like on salty UK roads though...I'll send a piccie if I ever figure out how..
