Old 1980's GS100

if thats what it looks like I cant see anyone in this section laughing at yer
Might be a lot jealous of yer :D

That is a paralever R100GS. Those colours it's a bumble bee. 60BHP my favourite GS but then I'm old and smell of wee and I have a pipe and slippers. If you buy one you will have to practice weeing down your legs in public. First BMW to sport the paralever back end. Bloody marvelous machines, now under braked but loads of mods available. Airheads will be along shortly

OK I'.ll be the first airyhead to comment.
FIRSTLY YOU DO NOT NEED TO PEE DOWN YER LEG. With most airhead owners its just "leakage.":rob
Next just go to the airhead section on here and introduce yourself and have a look at the pictures which will show you the different types, Paralevers, monos etc. You will get pushed /pulled about which are beswt but taqke no notice , they are all brill really but you will get some good advice about what to look for and what to avoid.:thumb

Thanks all, i'll take a look around. Not sure what to ask though?
Wee? does this mean they're prone to oil leaks?

Just had a look around what's the difference between a paralever and mono lever.

I'm guessing an extra lever somewhere on the back end?

hi jonti,( i seem to remember the name from the f650 site)
get yourself onto the airhead forum ,you have lots of reading and catching up to do:comfort

if you end up with a lovely classic airhead Bmw they will accuse you of stinking of wee. because they reckon they are for oldies:D
dont believe all you read;)

oh and get paid up as a subscriber.you can see the for sale adverts thensome of the older bikes are on there ,in your price range.

next you will ask what oil to use and why people will call you a tosser:rob

No the bikes are oil tight but the owners (me included) have oily weeps.
