Hi,
For those who remember, I am recovering after a nasty slow (-30) speed off back in September which left me with no left arm and confined to a wheelchair.
The latest news is that I am recovering from the last op to get the left arm working again, I left the wheelchair and I now own a Golf ragtop to replace the beloved bike (sorry but the physical damage prevents)
When the accident occurred I was on my way home from a first biking foray into France but we were due to revisit the region for a holiday that month, luckily the ferry (Brittany Ferries) company and gite owner waived the cancellation and re-booked us for 2008!
OK, please, some advice. We enter and exit France via Cherbourg for two weeks (the second week in the gite) but we have a week free in France. The question is where? We start at Cherbourg but must return via the Vendee, any suggestion for a week of travelling?
One comment, we don't want to visit Paris or the Cote d'Azur having spent several trips based there.
What is must-do and what is must-not? We have heard that the French Alps and Auverge are rather lovely.
Tim
