For spares, repairs or decoration.
Old model Singer Sewing machine. Model 99K. The various numbers on the machine date it to approximately 1958, and that it was made in the Singer factory at Kilbowie Scotland.
It was my wife’s great grandmother’s which she inherited via the maternal line. Unused for quite a few years it needs the foot pedal repairing (or so MrsAW says). It went iffy, then stopped but the motor turns and it was still stitching away until no amount of finessing of the foot pedal would make it go again. I can’t be bothered to look and it has just been in the way all this time. Heavy thing. Boxed and with some spares. We haven’t found the instructions but I’m sure they are available online. Thousands of these were made.
She’s got a new machine now and much prefers that so I’ve finally persuaded her to do something with it.
It’s fairly decorative but needs a wipe down. Not much value to these even in perfect working condition, but if anyone fancied a winter job it might provide some entertainment. Or probably best as a display item in hobby room, a shop, cafe or something. Collect only as it’s heavy and awkward and I’m pretty sure it’ll get damaged in transport.
£40 collected.
Delivery a possible if we are likely to be headed your way in the next few weeks/months. Ask and we will decide if we can find an excuse to deliver or meet somewhere convenient.
