OMG.....a Tyre thread..

My Roadking classic has white walls on which suit the bikes style and Im` no queer as some people think,, (dipsh*t).
Does anyone do a descent ww tyre other than Dunlop?..

Avon Venoms are availible with wide and narrow White wall:thumb2

First time I looked at the Avon website, I was under the impression that the Cobra was the tyre for heavy tourers like the glide or king.

Are they much the same?

First time I have noticed the Venom.

Ta.

might be wrong here but i think the Cobra is for "high performance" cruisers such as the V-Rod and Triumph Rocket 3... Therefore V rated and in wider profiles... 200+ The venom is for lardy slow Harleys like my Glide.... H rated with a stiffer side wall for loads... only tyre i could find in direct competion to the OE Dunlops... my size MT90B16

Not tried Avons

since 1980 (Speedmaster Mk2 anyone!)

Had Conti Milestones on my Glide - very pleased. Good grip (especially in the rain - HD 402 Dunlops were seriously dangerous in Scottish summer conditions) and also lasted well - after 4000 miles little visible/feel-able wear.

Got them off eBay from (IIRC) Universal Tyres at Luton. My mate has them on his Fat Boy too and swears by (not at) them - and he can ride well.

Whitewall tyres? - are you a rider or poser?

Just my 2 cents worth
