Finally managed to get the Veho Muvi cam set up , and nipped out on Saturday morning on my version of Johnnyboxers' Gentlemans Express , affectionately known to me as the Pathfinder .

A few photos .............

The footage is actually better than what you see here , but until I figure out the correct way of processing it will have to do ..........the original files [ I used parts of two of them , amount to over 800 mb , and I trimmed them and added music , but this still took the file to 402 mb - I need to use something other than WMM and do some learning about the best way to resize the file without losing quality .

Sit back from your computer a bit and take a little ride through the Gloucestershire countryside , tasking in the little hamlet of Yanworth

Just been on Veho site and to be honest it's pretty poor for info.

There's the Micro, Pro and Atom.
Which have you got?
Any idea on recording times for the various SD cards?

I have the Micro [ 2nd one , the first had to go back as it was faulty ] .
I've an 8gb card in mine , the max it will take . Recording time for the Micro is 45 mins per gb , and it takes about 2 hours to charge up .
This was the first time I've used it , and I'm pleased with the results .
As I said though , I need to find a better way to process the footage , and when I do I'll repost this video .

Thanks

Thanks Steve.

Spot on for your first try! :thumb2

What's battery life like?

Did you look at the Pro and the Atom?

What made you choose Micro?

TBH I didn't look at the other two - another biker showed me some footage he'd done using the Micro , and then I met up with him and saw the device for myself .
I ended up also buying the Extreme pack , but it's not really suitable for motorbike stuff , so I just tried various different things , and thie set up shown in the photo seems to be the best for me .
Battery life I haven't fully checked out yet , but on Saturday I did recording for a continuous 35 minutes with no problem , and it wasn't warm - according to Veho it should work in temps down to - 10 .

Better viewing

What's the trick for the improved quality?

All I did was embed the video after seeing another vimeo video on this site where the same was done , this made the viewing screen smaller , which makes the picture look better somehow .

I've just discovered that I've got Adobe CS4 on the home pc [ don't ask how I didn't know in the first place ] , and am going to do some research and ask for advice about how to use it .

Don't wait up though , as I may be some time .........
