We have a cunning plan for a major re vamp of Gasthof Hochalmspitze, our bikers hotel here in Austria. The first stage of the work will involve removing some existing partition walls and building new ones. Plus preparing the ground for a new terrace in our garden. The dates for stage one are from approx 10th to the end of October. We are looking for helpers to come on a one day work one day play basis. All the high roads will still be open and normally the weather is perfect for biking at that time.
Stage 2 will be during the Winter months- mid January onwards as my daughter is getting married in early January. Not much chance of biking but plenty of winter sports of al kinds. Work will be plumbing and wiring,finishing the new walls, laying floor tiles,plastering etc. Converting spare space into a new laundry and drying room, this will also need plumbing and tiling. The old laundry and drying room will need preparing for a new role, so more altering of partition walls, tiling and plastering.
Stage 3 in April will be the final push, laying the new terrace plus lots of painting and last minute fettling before we open for the 2015 season at the beginning of May.
We did a similar thing a couple of years ago, we got some great folk offering their services and we had a lot of fun along the way. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested.
