Only one key !!!!!!

The T***s charged me £30 for my second key and £40 for the rest of the tool kit

They tried to charge me for the second key even though I was told to order the spare through them for free when buying my bike. They lost all my future business because of the way they treated me over an insignificant item, never been back.

As far as I understand it, from SLM on Saturday, the Europeans were happy with the one key but the British complained . As a result it is now on the handover checklist and the BMW dealership put a warranty claim into BMW GB to get the second proper key issued. I was just thinking how much heat you would need to subject the "spare" key to get it to deform so that it is totally useless!!!

Anyway mine should arrive sometime in the future!

Mine came with one key and the "emergency" plastic key. Rainbow have already ordered my second spare key which should arrive for when I get my 600 mile service.

Bikes come with 1 Key and one Plastic key but the dealer orders a second and claims it on a warranty card back to BMW. Mine was given to me on handing over the bike and i signed a form for the warranty document - so both keys and plastic one were ready at handover. Also Rainbow. Shaun was up front and admitted that that was now proceedure because of so many complains countrywide.

Complain to your dealer and he gets you a 2nd key through the warranty system

Well they may loose my next bike purchase too, problem is where do i go then to buy/service the bike? the reason i went to W's of M/chester was the crap way they treated me at Crewe. I was at the time on my Shitzuki Burgman 650 ( duf leg ) they left me unattended for 40mins so went to speak to the sales guy and was totally ignored. FFS i had 10grand in my pocket and they lost thier 17% so i will never go back to them unless the sales team have changed. ( think he was yank or Canadian ). Apart from the key and tools issue W's of M/Chester have been great. Big thinks needed soon as my warranty is up in April, what to do!!!!!
