This time yesterday I was riding out from Portree and headed north to the badlands of Oonyackistan.

We took the unnamed road from Staffin across the top to Uig - fantastic views from the summit.

Across the Kyle Rhea ferry; watched seals at play from the ferry; fantasic roads on both sides of the ferry; coffee and cake in the Glenelg village hall.

Down to Fort William and up Glen Coe/Rannoch Moor - WTF was going on there? More traffic than Oxford Circus!! Bike race?

Past Loch Lommond; Glasgow and motorway south.

At the Bay Horse Service Area, Martin's steed went lame with a failed charging system and he had to be recovered to Kent - he's probably still en-route.

A hard day's ride, but enjoyable!

Eedit - just check the Zumo tracklog - 647 miles

Stunning photies....looks like you had decent weather too. :thumb

Unfortunately, I have 'borrowed' a few of those photos from elsewhere - the weather was swinging between cold and wet and pure shite for most of the way.

Ha ha ha, that explains it. I was speaking to me old man last night after sending him photies of the day I'd had and he was cursing the Scottish weather, so when I saw your photies, I was just presuming that wis normal there. Pissing rain in one part, then a few miles up the road it's sunny.

:D

I rode past this bridge again. The siderails seem to have been taken away since the picture was taken.
