Just reading through this thread and saw this.
The sizing may be the same but,unless things have changed,the shell shape is different,I'm pretty sure.
I bought a few helmets in Tokyo years back and certainly Shoei made 3 different shells-Japanese,US and European
Don't Triumph sell their own branded open face helmets?

BMW do one with a 9 on it 
I've had all but a Bultaco, so, in order, and it's only my opinion;
Nolan - good quality build, comfy and quiet.
Roof - quite good, though a bit crude i.m.o. - but makes up by being cool
Caberg - not as much 'finesse' / but solid.
p.s;
if a Shoei fits you well / an Arai wont, and vice versa.
worth checking HJC lids - suspiciously Shoei alike (made in same factory?
) - just as good quality.

My Japan import XL fits the same as my UK aria XL both TX and earlier UK sourced RAM 1 . Just Bought a Bell Moto 3 for the scrambler and that is lovely . But a size 2xl in Bell . love it

The trouble with a lot of the piss pots mentioned on here is the size of them. The shells are so big they make you look a complete twat. The Bultaco's and Bell's look good because they have smaller shells and less plush (but still comfortable) lining.

Which is why i mentioned HJC - light weight and not massive shell and enough / not too much padding.
Wish i still had mine - i wore it to death!
I had a Caberg although not an open face. It was crap, cheap and nasty, never again.
If you are going to ride with an open face helmet get a leather face mask or for wet weather the Halvarssons water resistant neck warmer, excellent piece of low cost kit.

Did you know Jake Drake-Brockman as well? He's how I met Fiddy many moons ago - before JDM's early departure from this life :-(
I bumped into Fiddy again on the ferry on the way across to the IOM for the Classic TT. He was wearing some uber cool leather salopettes!

Don't remember the name, I had to deliver one of his helmets to an ex rider at the TT once.
The times I rode with him, he's be wearing skin tight leggings and fluffy top! Wore the same gear when we went hill walking
I used an M1 for 20k miles this year having previously had a J1 which I loved. On a GSA I found it seemed to trap turbulent air coming under the visor so even with ear plugs it would still cause annoying resonance. I ended up taking the visor off and wearing sunglasses. The SRC plug and play seems like a great idea but compared to SENAs I've used the interface is clunky and difficult to use in practice. Also the speakers are not as good as Sena. All IMHO of course

I'm really pleased with it, I do have a screen spoiler on my GSA and I find it very acceptable at 85-90mph
I have the Bluetooth which is great for sat navy and music, I've not really used the speaker in anger. The Bluetooth fits so well id not use another system on this helmet
It has better very hot day ventilation than the J1 however with the top vent open noise does increase
