Optimate 4 plug

Just bought a optimate 4 for a 2005 gs
The canbus plug is to short, or is there a problem with the socket on my bike

Remove the red plastic part from the optimate plug by just pulling it off this converts the plug to a Bmw plug from a car cigarette lighter plug
don't ask me how I know this ?

Had a look and can't see how it pull it apart. So soldered a piece of brass on the end and now working
