Optimate....Accumate

Whats the difference between the Optimate and Accumate battery chargers, if any?

Seen both at various times and they seem near identical in appearance, shape/mouldings, and both have blue/red stripes through the name...........
Also, they seem to be about the same price (~£40).

Like you, I thought they seemed identical & was also told this was so by an assistant on the parts dept at my local bike store.

I picked up one of the Oxford versions at the Bike Show where Infinity Motorcycles were selling them for £24.99

No idea how any of them work but my 1150's been plugged in ever since.

The accumate is capable of delivering a higher current so is better suited for the Hawker odyssey batteries, although, both chargers will maintain the Hawker. The optimate is better at restoring knackered batteries.
