Optimate with BMW Gel Battery

Sorry if this a noob question but I gotta ask. As per the title, can an Optimate 4 be used with a BMW gel battery? It's the same one as this one. I've not used trickle chargers in the past and it doesn't mention gel batteries in the booklet and that link mentions something about gel specific chargers.

they don't mention AGM batteries on the website either

however, they do mention VRLA (valve regulated) which is what you get if you put AGM into wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absorbent_glass_mat#Absorbent_glass_mat_.28AGM.29

VRLA is a generic term for the AGM or gel type batteries.

So, as ghiribizzo says, yes!

My TTR has a gel battery, and the optimate works just fine. Go for it.
