Hi Guys,
I'm just about to change the OE battery on my 04/04 1200GS after a weekend of clicking and then just starting.
I have read various threads on here as to what chargers will and will not look after an AGM battery, due to them requiring at least 13.5V.
I can confirm after investigation and talking to Tec-Mate technical team, that Optimates from the Optimate II onwards have a float current of 13.6V and are perfectly okay to look after you WestCo or Odyssey battery.
I would have thought that Odyssey were pushing the CTEK purely as a money maker and that was the kit they decided to push.
ADVICE PLEASE: What's better the Odyssey or WestCo? There's a hell of a price difference £88 (+P&P) vs £47.25 (+P&P), is the Odyssey really worth that much more??
Cheers Stu
