That's by far the scariest thing I've seen.... the metal just looks to have given way!

And someone else asks on how you can x-ray it as well. Looking at the photo's that's also linked in the advrider thread, there dosn't appear to be any obvious signs of cracking on the lh fork the day before the accident. Also doesn't seem to have happened that often too going by the f650 faq's either. Which is a bit of a relief.

Hopefully you're correct and it doesn't happen too often as mine is the same year as that one.
Fingers crossed and all that.

. That is terrible that metal looks shit. The 1200 Gs I bought had the fork brace snap, bike was only 3mths old even if they get wheelied the bikes are supposed to be used for off road. It does make you think about the quality though crapalloy comes to mind. Glad the rider was ok.
