Location
Dublin mostly!
One of our Saudi riders and I went to see a dam at Sadous, about 50kms NE or Riyadh.
It was "opened" in 1980 (or 1400 in the Hegira calendar).
When Thamer saw the sign on the railing, he began laughing.
I said "What does it say - No Swimming ?"
He said "You are right! "

Seems the water is a long lead item. Will check it out whenever it rains next.

BTW, I bought the Rallye suit before LWR or any of that, and I like it so much I bought another one from Thunder. So there!

howya bin, looks very slope,y over there :aidan

Too much drink I'd say :augie

Bin, has it ever held back any water :nenau Looks like it'd take a fair bit of rain to put any pressure on said dam. Funnily enough we appear to have a surplus (again) at present. Think you could interest them in buying some off us ? Give you best price Mister :aidan

PS: Nice suit :augie

There are places where lakes form when there is rain, and this is probably like that. I think the dams are more to prevent flash (!) floods than to act as reservoirs.
It can really tip it down here and there are always a few drowned, check the hilux in the middle of the lake, taken in 2003 when we had serious rain and flooding.

bin

bin, do you know anything about dubai? more particularly can you rent bikes there?

Hi,
You can rent Harleys, but nothing else afaik. Would not be the worst bike for the roads which are generally well surfaced.
Try posting on HUBB Middle East or search there first.
When are you thinking of visiting there, for how long?

For off-road fun, I am sure there are Quad hire places out-of-town.
Bin
