overheating touratech pannier!

Have a loo down the scrap merchants they'll have lots of bits and sell you some for next to nought compared to B&Q, if river crossing just keep the revs
nice and high you'll be fine.

You need to either get a Extension pipe , or use spacers and push the
pipe in towards the Wheel.
The Heat Deflect tape wont work. The Actual End of the Exhaust is
where the Heat is Getting to the Pannier , So your aim is to point it inward.
BE CAreful not too close to the Wheel..

PM me if your Stuck

I have read of someone sticking a heat-resistant, flexible soldering mat to the outside of the pannier ; might be better than nothing,

Thanks guys
Touratech came back they do not do an extension pipe for the later remus can,
so will try to get one of those square section thingys made up(see previous link)
Thanks again

One of our group has the same bike/pannier/exhaust. The silencer is very close to the pannier so a spacer on the exhaust and on the pannier brackets gives a gap of about 30mm. No problems now.

I have the same system. I think the reason TT stopped doing them is Rhemus seem to have changed their end can to a different shape. As lick would have it, I was able to swap my later can for an earlier one. Not quite as warm now...
