Been into bikes for 30 years but bought nearly new under warranty so never got to learn what makes a bike tick.Decided to change this by buying an old airhead that had just been to China with 90,000 miles on the clock.
Started with giving the bike a real good clean.....got an expert to do valves and a compression test...LH 150 and RH130...was told this is ok...could someone confirm this for me.
Me..i actually serviced it..air-filter(old one was in wrong lol)oil-filter,in-line filters,engine oil,gear box oil,final drive oil+various tubes,clips and then this evening round a mates who showed me how to put on a set of metler enduros(back tyre took 10 mins and the front had an inner tube in it and took 3 attempts lol).
Oh and i met in person a very nice guy(known as VAL H) from here today.
So a week on and i am enjoying a new angle to my biking experience
