Packing a tent away

I have a similar one, though it's silver, bought from an outdoors type store in the Lake District about 20 years ago, still going strong... no photo as it's attached to the inside of the packed away tent so I don't forget it. Reminds me I must find another for the other tent

Hi Don - yes lot of stuff on ,,, done a lot of this kinda long haul camping trips , the stuff that’s on there is all considered as either necessary or potentially necessary .
I have purchased one of these Olight Obulb (currently out of stock) lights.
I have also purchased this suspension ring for my tent. The light does come with a metal adhesive disc if you wish to attach it to any non steel surfaces.
Magnetic base, means I can attach it to any steel surface. 4 light modes, magnetic USB-A charge lead (same as my Olight headtorch).

The way I look at it is if you have it with you, you may need it, you may not. If you don’t have it with you and you need it, you’re stuffed.
Your mates must well pleased with you offering to carry all their gear as well!My old Hilliberg has NEVER been folded even once , tents are usually Wet and can’t go in a pannier without soaking other stuff ,,,, so mine simply gets shoved into a 24 L Ortlieb rack pack , inner , outer and footprint all in one .Works for me . Always carry a wee sponge to dry the inner floor if it has been wet . Sits on rear seat clipped onto the other bags with carabiner hooks .
