As I'm getting older I'm finding my kicking leg / knee is getting tired and kicking over my collection of Brit Iron is not as easy as it used to be
the singles all have de- compressors which helps but not the big twins
does anyone have a proven design for a home made Paddock Starter please
and yes I have looked at U Tube and have a good of idea what's needed and I have the workshop tools required

Sorry not much help to you, but an old boy in my club has quite a collection of old bikes.

Instead of a garage pit, he has a board sunk into the floor which when lifted reveals a roller starter embedded almost level with the concrete making it ideal for starting his old irons.

As you said your self you are getting older and it's harder to kick them over, maybe it's time to move them on while they are still worth something?
