Paddy (Gunz..!) visited a couple of days ago and went out of his way to deliver his old headlamp unit for me to play with as part of a project...

Much appreciated old boy - to the extent of a very public 'Thank You!'

Cheers bud

Someones plastic panels will be changing from purple to carbon, this year!

*Stokes his carbon*

If someone wants a purple gs from bmw. They get exactley the same purple as mine was done. I've atleast two photo's of other purple F800GS's, one in UK. Other one in USA.

I haven't come across any F800GS in full carbon livery. Nor do I expect to see another one :thumb2

Yes (not knowing overly too much about Carbon fiber) it does seem to be pre-impregnated carbon. I'm hoping not to have to bake it.

This set of videos is good also for amateur tickers like myself ;)

I'm mentally heading towards making moldings of my panels. Rather than just laying & setting the black gold!

**Tinkerers**

He's some close up images of the weave of my carbon.

After reading your post I drew back some of the carbon & found it moist with a white layer of sticky crap (really hot inside my static caravan). I was told "to do it properly you have to bake the carbon". I'm not going to be doing it that way.
