Uh, there are some things that are best not said in public, so as not to give offense to anyone. However... I kind of like listening to music... :D

Since no one gives me "free stuff" to test out (do you get to keep em btw? =)....

I'd say it's a choice of: More style, some extra buttons, less options and functions, higher cost...

VS, More options and functions, no extra buttons (but comes with a remote), less cost...

Seems simple enough to me... (not that I'm buying... SWIMBO would kill me...)

trying to do a search for these but they must not be released as yet

I suppose I could, but what's the point? I can only use one GPSR at any one time, and I can only do a good job of testing one GPSR at any one time. I normally use each model for 6 to 9 months, then send the thing back once I get the next one.

It's a long story. Suffice to say I was very heavily involved with Garmin aviation products first (having retrofitted about a dozen large aircraft with Garmin 430s, back when they were new on the market) before I became involved in testing the moto products. I started off testing with a SP III. I am a volunteer, I do this for fun (it fits with my hobby of long distance moto riding). I don't get paid anything.

Good to know Garmin has someone that knows exactly where us riders are coming from when we say we want function X.

Garmin is actually remarkably good at listening to their customers, probably better at it than any other consumer electronics company. Many of the software engineers browse this forum, and some of them ride motos also. You would be really amazed if you knew how many of the features and functions in today's GPSRs originated from discussions with customers - either the result of email requests, or passed on by beta testers like myself, or simply from the software dudes lurking in the user forums.

if they listen to customers
