Pan european or k1200lt

I've had an ST1300. I've ridden ST1100, ST1300 and R1200RT for a living under very harsh conditions. I currently have a K1200LT and it's a Keeper. The ST1300 and LT are not a good comparison. The ST is quick, agile and a good commuter though thirsty. You can tour with good luggage and comfort but if you want to go further and longer I'd suggest the LT is a better option. Not quite Goldwing but somewhere between it and the ST. I don't do my own servicing and either way both bikes require a lot of plastic removed to get at the mechanicals.

Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on the above. Many thanks 😊
I have owned 3 St1100 and 1 St1300.
For me personally, the St1100 was a far better bike in many ways then the St1300.
When Honda design the St1100 they set a bench mark that at the time no other manufacturer could match.
In my opinion the St1300 didn't better st1100.
I have only just purchased my k1200lt,
What I can tell you about the bike, they are a big old girl to ride but very smooth and comfortable.
Unlike the St1100 the k1200lt needed regular service work.

neither

R1200RT is better

FJR way too old and heavy

I had 2 ST1300s and they were both faultless bikes for travelling and even for commuting too. I put a Vstream screen and handlebar raisers on both my ST1300s. If I had enough garage space, I would try and squeeze one in. By the way, the rusty swing-arm only affects the ST1100 IIRC
