Pannier bags on a gs

Just discovered my old Oxford panniers that I had on my virago, which I thought I had sold with the bike. Tried them on my 1150 and they seem a bit dodgy, hanging very close to the exhaust. Wondering where I can pck up some sort of brackets that would keep them and me safe? Any ideas welcome. Thanks
