Hi, just got old of some 2nd hand BMW adventure panniers, the exhaust side leaks a little, is there a common cure for this? Never had them leak before on other bikes.

Check the case is square and true. New seals wont stop it leaking if it's been bashed.
If its the aluminium ones then my right one leaks on the right, think a wee drill hole in the bottom is called for.
I had a leak on one of mine - cured by removing the seal on the box, put a thin bead of silicon sealant into the gap, replace the seal withoout pushing it in too far, let it cure and then refit. 100% waterproof for the last 4 years or so.
Good suggestion, will give this a try myself.. Before the drill comes out.

A very small hole, drilled at the pannier's lowest point, sorts it out.
I've always put a thin smear of vaseline around the top of the seal, keeps them water tight. so good last time over the Pyrenees had a job to open them due to pressure loss vacuum.
