Hi

Anyone know what the deal is with coded locks if buying secondhand system panniers?

I assume the seller will remove the locks as they're keyed to another bike. Is it just a case of ordered new locks from BM with my bikes key code? Any ideas on costs?

I bought 2nd hand cases from Joker. They came with the locks, which I just removed the barrels, and took them to a local dealership (Battersea BMW), and they re-coded the barrels for my ignition key.
Excellant service from Battersea (I have no affiliation with them) as they didnt charge me for re-coding the locksand all done in 10 mins.
Its easy to remove the barrels from the cases, just search on locks and panniers on the Technical forum, and there is an easy explaination that even I could follow.
