Is there such a place where I can go and take a look at several different types of pannier and topbox?
A showroom or dealer that has a decent stock of boxes and frameworks.
I don't think I know enough to just order a set via the internet, I did like to take a good look at first.
Do any of you folk know of such a place?

Timpo.

The best place to see all the panniers available and fitted to a bike like yours is at a GS meet, ie, Hogroast, Kelso etc.:thumb

But of course you probably want them for the Hogroast.
IMO the TT Zegas are best for my needs, but then they do get a good bashing and are easy to repair unlike most others.

Rick has the BMW ones on his 1200 ADV and a bash on a rock in Morocco ruined the seal on the lid

Vern's or Civil's would be my first choice otherwise. I was looking at the Metal Mules at Rosedale, I thought them overpriced and not for me.

I guess everyone would recommend the ones they've bought.

Caja sahel for me personally. Some don't like em, and they look a bit :ymca in black :augie

Civils Caja's look really good on the bike and are made to your own spec. They are well priced too.

If I could afford, that's what I'd get. Have to have the exhaust cut outs though, really don't like the odd sized ones.

This has been a my two penneth production for UKGSer
