Paralever Gearbox ?

OK all you gearbox men a bit of advise please, two questions.
1/ why are some of the bearings in the gearbox sheilded on one side and which shaft do they go on, not which way round.
2/ on motorworks site in 2v gearbox, miscellaneous internal parts, they list
input shaft compression washer 2vr paralever (tra01691)?
Any thoughts please. Ta

Gearbox bearings

I am going to anwser my own Query here I think!
The lay shaft and the output shaft are hollow and have holes drilled in them to allow oil to lubricate the free spinning gears on these shafts via the hollow shafts, so oil gets into the hollow shaft from behind the bearings, the baffle plate is there to stop the oil running through the bearing and not going into the shaft, so my theory is the shielded bearings are also there to help the oil go up the shaft. Still not sure about the other question yet I will ring M/works today.

The first part of yer question - regarding aiding the flow though and around the gears would/is/was my conclusion when I stripped me box but rather than give you dodgy info I kept quite these are tractor gearbox's

I have also put a sealed bearing on the rear of the Input Shaft (facing outwards) to limit dirt getting in via the clutch pushrod (even though that has a small seal on the shaft).
