Can anyone throw any light on removing the stud (part number 25 on diagram)from the bevel box I assume lots of heat and a pair of stilsons anything to be careful of? can I do it without taking the bevel box off
It's threaded in so a pair of stillies will move it. Standard thread from memory so anti clockwise to loosen it. You can usually get them out without heat or stripping the bevel box.
