Hello
SWMBO rode her 2000 F650GS to work this morning and when she parked it up left the ign/sw in park light mode. Luckily I fitted her bike with enough tools to get to the battery so the AA man could jump start the bike toniht.
To stop this recurring in future is it possible to modify the wiring so the park lights do not work with the ign/sw in that position?
I suppose one option would be to fit LEDs but how long can they stay on without draining the battery?
Seems a daft thing for a motorbike to have, my R1150GS has it too.

Just turn the key all the way left and lock the steering. :blast

Or fit a cut out switch to the battery.

No need to get to the battery, take seat off, at bottom right of false tank is a battery post for just such an emergency.

Park Lights?

All the people
So many people
They all go hand in hand
Hand in hand through their PARK LIGHT.........

Just checked the jump-start point as it is known was introduced with the twin spark models... so 2004 on.
