Hi Doc.
I had the same issue last month when got the GS - coming from a harley tourer the Mrs couldnt get on with the standard footpegs.
I tried an old pair of harley footboards with a spacer (clevis too wide) and she liked them.
See photo of old boards but i now have new black ones that i think look ideal.
I run without any rear pegs 90% of the time as it takes seconds to fit them.
Used 8mm stainless cap heads with nylocs instead of standard pins.
At work but will post new pics later on for you to see.

Great thanks. Yes girlfriend prefers footboards as she has them on another bike.

Here are the new boards.
£30 new off ebay (harley rip offs) plus 20mm x 11mm spacer.
Bmw ones are nice but not £180 nice for a few times a year.
