You may have read that I had an attempt to hi-jack my eBay identity the other day.

As part of the recovery, I changed most of my passwords. The trouble is, the 'password reminder' facility (I assume it's part of XP Home) still has my old passwords stored. Is there some way of deleting them all so I can start again and get the new ones into the software's memory?

Mike:)

If you are using IE .....

Tools
Internet Options
Content tab
Auto complete
Then 'Clear passwords' It however will clear all of them so make sure you know them all before deleting them.;)

Then..

Tools
options
*edit* sorry forgot 'privacy' Mine set to always open on that tab to delete the cache.
saved passwords....CLEAR or you can view them first. Also you can clear one at a time or all of them from that screen.

Same but different....

Tools, options, security, clear forms.......

Passwords are bollix in XP anyway....did you know you can get into pretty much any XP system just by sticking a win2000 setup disk or floppy then running recovery console???

You can then access everything as an administrator.

It's possible to plug, but you can guarantee that 99.99% of home PC's and most office ones won't have been plugged up.

Crap Innit!!!!

:(

That's weird - found all the passwords, but the eBay one wasn't listed - although it still 'auto-fills' when I type in my user name - any ideas?

Mike:confused:

Sorted - cleared everything and I've just gone back logging on everywhere to 're-load' the password vault...

Cheers everyone!
