We had Pattacakes Tea Rooms recommended to us a couple of weeks back, finally got there today, top notch it was too! Wife had the nicest main, bubble and squeak, but its like no bubble and squeak I've ever had, divine! Cake wise I declare my own choice as best (other may not agree :D), a solid slice of Pecan and caramel tart with cream :drool

Anyway, its located in the the tiny village of Welburn, top of Whitwell Hill, just off the A64 West of Malton

I shall incorporate that into one of my Summer trips :thumb

Pattacakes again this Tuesday, best day of the year so far! (well, weather wise that is...)

Fresh coffee, a florentine slice and the Times newspaper :D
