OK, here’s the deal.

‘er in doors is a lover of all things Mac related, and I’m a PC type of guy.

What are the options for connecting her iMac (OS X) and my PC (XP) so that they can “play nice” and share stuff like a USB ADSL adapter, printers, scanners and other USB stuff (file sharing isn’t that important).

In advance,

By far the easiest way of sharing is for you to throw away your PC and get yourself a MAC - take yer missus out for an expensive dinner, and beg her to share her infinite enlightenment with you :)

I have it set up in my house OK.

I got someone from the nerd-herd at work to come and sort it out.

I run a 2.0Ghz dual-processor G5 with a 3.0GHz Pentium PC printing into a very fast Panasonic laser printer and sharing a 2.0Mb ADSL link.

The way the network is set up I can access all the peripherals on my son's PC and he can get at anything on my Mac. (Except the private files, of course, which are not accessible).

Nice one Tuned in, only its Zebedee who's gonna end up doing the ironing.
